On Friday night I decided it had been too long since I last skateboarded. I was right. It had indeed been so long that I probably should have just never bothered to do it again. I ended up in the emergency room. Six stitches on my chin and five hours of sleep later, I was back in Max’s basement recording drums. We took it a bit easier than the previous weekend, recording just two songs on Saturday and then two on Sunday. I had to keep taking breaks to avoid getting sweat on my stitches (keep them dry for the first 24 hours!). Ultimately I think the slower pace helped me to concentrate and work efficiently. Only three songs left to go now, but I cracked both of my crash cymbals and need to get them replaced via warranty claims before we continue. Apparently I do things too hard.

Gonna take a break this weekend to celebrate my birthday (Sunday) and the removal of my stitches (Friday).
